Please tell me which judge said that, so that I can find out under what circumstances they said it. It is easy to misconstrue both of your quotes.
That's how it goes, depends on what question was put, also having no say in the matter, well one judge may have prefered one act, but if all the
others prefered another then that person wouldn't have any say, it's a majority decision just the same as in any democracy.
The event was run by The Lions and not a conservative club, what the political persusasions of the organisers are I don't know, but again, tell us
which person said it and I'll look into it.
If you went on crowd response then I'd have thought you'd go for Joe, Fizzog and Richard. But I'll qualify that with a " I was very busy, so I may
not be able to be 100% accurate on that. We'll have to wait for a copy of the video and get a good old fashioned clapometer to check " statement.
I was there from 10.30am until 11.30pm working, I think I know how the events really played out all day long, but at least I'm straight enough to say
that I may be wrong.

Just re-read the whole thread, and my apology for making a bold statement ws not required, because my statement was taken out of context.
Check my post and you'll see that I did actually put.... "That I noted"
Being back stage I couldn't tell if lighting was coming on at exactly the right time. Of course it should have done, but Jenny, let's get some hard
facts from you so we can put your mind to rest.

Whereabouts were you sat Susan?
Just to guage your views of the acts and the view of the stage, compared to others.
I've just seen the first draft of a video, and the dance acts look quite good from the snippets I've seen.

To be honest for me it was between DNA and Back to Back for me too and I like Transit Tricks but they just werent that good on the night i have seen
them quite a few times and they just didnt replicate that amazing performance frmo the semi's.
I think definately have the judges sat away from the stage for next years event and get someone with alot of dance experience in appropriate areas if
you put street style acts through you have to have someone who knows technique and style be judging.

What sort of experience do you have?
Do you want to come onboard?

Interesting threads...next years event will be much better...i think Dance's comments of position of judges are vital...there are many issues
surrounding the judging of the event that need to be sorted. I can tell you that the judging was completely fair. However it is entirely possible that
with a better view of the stage of the dancers and with a possible different make up on the judging panel these comments will not be repeated next
year. I would however remind you all that it is a variety talent event and there are not only dancers in the event. My favourite did not reach the
final but entertained at the very end. What did you all think of Laura Evans? I could argue all night why she did not reach the final. The fact was
the choice of song in the semi let her down. C'est la vie. So, points taken but the winner was Joe and we must celebrate that and move on. Next
year's event will i can assure you be even better so i hope you can all come again. Every act on the final was excellent. Well done to you all.

I thought the show was great, we were sitting in the stalls and had a really good view of all of the acts. My daughter Danielle Talbot was in the
final singing and she was thrilled at having got through to the final and being able to perform on the stage at the Grand Theatre. We enjoyed all of
the acts they were all winners having got through to the final 16.
